Lake Manyara Kilimoja Lodge is nested on the rim of the great African rift valley with stunning views over Lake Manyara, Mount Meru, and Mount Kilimanjaro. The lodge is set on pristine lush green gardens and local vegetation with over 130 species of birds.
All rooms have panoramic views and are tastefully decorated with all the amenities you would expect in a five-star lodge, including inside and outside showers, baths, air conditioners, fireplaces, Wi-Fi, mini bar, and private balconies. You will stay here on the first day.
This five-star colonial lodge is situated on a picturesque hill with spectacular views onto Oldeani Mountain and the Ngorongoro Crater Rim. The lodge is elevated with 360 degree views that extend all the way to Lake Eyasi and Lake Manyara. The property is set on 40 acres of pristine, lush green gardens and local vegetation with over 130 species of birds.
The lodge is accessed over a pond. Your first impression is the grand central hallway with wooden trusses looking out over the fireplace, infinity pool, and out onto the Mount Oldeani, which is part of the caldera of the world famous Ngorongoro crater, and it is only 12 kilometers away. You will stay here on the fourth day.
Serengeti Kati Kati is a mid-range mobile camp located in Serengeti Central area sitting in the greater Seronera. The tents are large, with insect proof windows, comfortable beds with fresh linens and duvets, and a private veranda. A cozy mess tent isolated in the center of the camp where meals are served. The tents are equipped with en-suite facilities with toilets and showers. You will stay here on the second and third day.
Accommodation at Tarangire Simba Lodge is in classic canvas safari tents situated permanently under thatch. The spacious tents are constructed on platforms, complete with wooden floors, en-suite dressing room, toilet, and shower. Additionally, there is an outdoor shower, and each tent has a private veranda with views of the bush and Lake Burunge.
Furnishings are handcrafted from African hardwood complimented with tastefully selected fabrics. Electricity and hot water are solar powered, and full amenities are provided. Common areas are connected with wooden walkways and there is a deck for outdoor dining adjacent to the dining tent. Wi-Fi is available. In addition to a large swimming pool, there is a tree-top viewing platform built in a stately acacia tree to facilitate wildlife watching and stargazing. You will stay here on the fifth day.
On arrival, you will be transferred to nearby Arusha, then board your 4x4 vehicle for the drive to Lake Manyara, enjoying the first glimpse of Tanzania as you go. You will arrive at the Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge for lunch, a newer property with 100 rooms and uninterrupted views of the Manyara plains.
After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, home to hippos, elephants, flamingos, plains game, and the famous tree-climbing lions that reside here. The landscape is a mixture of dense forest, small open plains, and lush waterside grasses, a feast for herbivores such as buffalo. All meals are included.
The morning begins with the long scenic drive north to the world renowned Serengeti National Park, arriving at the lovely Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp in the central Serengeti in time for lunch. This well-located mobile camp in the central Serengeti has just 10 comfortable tents with en-suite facilities and offers an authentic safari experience.
In the afternoon, board your safari vehicle for a game drive exploring the open plains in the search of abundant wildlife. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight. All meals are included.
Morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti will await today, seeking out the big cats, rhino, buffalo, giraffe, and many others that inhabit the vast open plains of this huge park which borders the Maasai Mara in its northeast corner. The sheer scale and seemingly endless horizon in this part of Africa is simply spellbinding. There is also the opportunity to take an optional balloon safari over the plains. All meals are included.
After breakfast, you will depart for Ngorongoro, viewing game across the vast Serengeti plains, with the option to visit the archaeological marvel of Olduvai Gorge, the discovery site of some of the earliest ever humanoid remains. You will have a lunch en-route. You will continue for an afternoon game viewing in the Ngorongoro Crater, one of nature's true wonders. Its collapsed volcanic crater is 12 miles in diameter and 2,000 feet deep.
The fertile soil and lake attract a huge range of wildlife, and your afternoon crater game viewing will seek to uncover them amongst the floor's forests, grasses, and plains. Dinner and overnight are spent at the Oldeani Mountain Lodge, located on a hillside above the quiet town of Karatu, with beautiful rooms and far reaching views. All meals are included.
In the morning, you will have an option to go back to the Ngorongoro for a half-day game drive before heading to The Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is one of the most famous parks in Africa for elephants population. It has remarkable number of elephants per square meter than any other park in Africa. Here you will have a half-day afternoon game drive before going back to the Tarangire Safari Lodge for an overnight. All meals are included.
You will have a half-day game drive in Tarangire before going back to Arusha. This is expected to be last day of your safari and if you have a flight to your next destination, Arend Safaris will gladly transfer you to the airport at no additional costs. If you also wish to spend this day in Arusha, they can arrange that too. Breakfast and lunch are included.

Lake Manyara National Park is located beneath the cliffs of the Manyara escarpment, on the edge of the Rift Valley. It offers varied ecosystems, incredible bird life, and breathtaking views. The park lies in northwestern Tanzania, located both in Arusha Region and Manyara Region, Tanzania. It covers 330 square kilometers and it is a 90-minute drive from Arusha.
The jewel in Ngorongoro’s crown is a deep, volcanic crater and the largest unbroken caldera in the world. About 300 square kilometers in the area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder. By far, it is one of the most incredible sites to experience in all of Africa. From the unique self-contained ecosystem to the abundant indigenous wildlife and the breathtaking natural beauty, a visit here is something you will not soon forget.
The Serengeti is a park with the oldest ecosystem on the planet. It boasts a diversity of flora and fauna that is unavailable anywhere else on the globe. The park lies in northwestern Tanzania, where it is continuous with the Maasai Mara National Reserve. If you want to see Africa’s wildlife at its most extravagant, a safari in the Serengeti is hard to beat. It is not only because it is home to the world’s greatest concentration of wildlife, but also because of its most spectacular natural migration.
Tarangire National Park covers an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometers. The landscape is composed of granitic ridges, river valley, and swamps. The park is famous for its high density of elephants and baobab trees. The park lies in northwestern Tanzania, and it can be reached via paved road south from Arusha in under two hours and lies 70 kilometers from Tarangire.
The views here cannot be captured with a camera, but instead with permanent memories in the hearts and minds of visitors. A trip to Tanzania wouldn’t be complete without a stop at this park.
