Your safari begins with a drive to Masai Mara which is Kenya’s leading safari destination offering incomparable game viewing experience and then the 2025 Great Migration that happens during July to early October. Continue the safari to Lake Nakuru, arguably one of the most renowned lakes in Kenya’s Rift Valley also known as the birdwatcher’s paradise.
Located at the very center of the famous "Mara Triangle" in the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve, the Mara Serena Safari Lodge is the ultimate safari destination. Flamingo Hill Camp is situated within the famous Lake Nakuru National Park, which lies within the Great Rift Valley of Kenya. The camp is small and exclusive, comprising 25 tents. The tents are furnished with the understated luxury required by the modern traveler. Decorated in calming safari tones, natural woods, wrought iron, and crisp cottons, each tent has been meticulously planned to maximize comfort.
At your Nairobi hotel or on arrival at JKIA airport, an Antonio Safaris representative will meet you and warmly welcome you to Kenya.
You will then board your awaiting 4x4 Land Cruiser and begin your wonderful journey to the iconic Masai Mara. En route, you will make a brief stopover at the Rift Valley Viewpoint to marvel at the expansive beauty of the valley and take a bathroom break. You will then proceed with your adventure.
You will arrive in Mara in time for check in and lunch. After relaxing at the accommodation, you will head out for an afternoon game drive to be acquainted with the park. You will go in search of the big five and other wildlife.
Later, you will return to the lodge/camp for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Take to the skies in the early morning and enjoy an aerial view of the spotted Mara plains below. Catch a glimpse of wildlife roaming freely in the vast savannah grasslands and the sun as it lays its rays on the grass turning everything golden. (This is an optional activity available at an extra cost.)
Settle down to breakfast after an exhilarating adventure. After breakfast, carry packed lunch with you as you embark on a full day game drive in the Masai Mara reserve. Your guide will help to identify wildlife in the park including the big five and ensure you enjoy cruising though the beauty of the gently rolling hills of the Mara.
At around lunchtime, you will enjoy a picnic along the banks overlooking the Mara River and will witness the Nile crocodiles and the hippos that inhabit the river. A further game drive will present an opportunity to encounter more wildlife as well as bird species for bird lovers.
Later in the evening, return to the lodge/camp to freshen up, enjoy a hearty dinner and spend the night.
Go for an early game drive and return for late breakfast. Then, depart to Nakuru National Park with picnic lunch on the way, arriving in the evening.
If time allows, you pass via Naivasha for a boat ride at Lake Naivasha Crescent Island (optional). Dinner and overnight at the lodge/hotel.
After early breakfast, spend the morning in Nakuru Park where you can see a lot of flamingos among the about 350 species of birds recorded here. This is also home to the black and the white rhinoceroses.
The park was established for the protection of endangered species such as the rhino and is also home to colobus monkeys, leopards, giraffes, and a variety of plains antelope.
Later in the day, depart to Nairobi with picnic lunch on the way. End of tour after they drop you off at your Nairobi hotel / airport.
Maasai Mara is special because it’s Kenya’s most famous safari destination, known for its open savannahs filled with wildlife, including the big five, and the incredible Great Migration from July to October.
Nearby, visitors can experience Maasai culture through village visits and traditional dances.
Lake Nakuru, on the other hand, is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, acacia forests, and waterfalls. It’s famous for flamingos, diverse birdlife, and rhino conservation. Lake Nakuru National Park presents a variety of birdlife including the famous greater and lesser flamingos and pelicans among others. The park is also home to diverse wildlife species including both the black and the southern white rhinos.
