Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Pick up from your hotel in Arusha at 8 a.m. to leave for Tarangire National Park after breakfast. Tarangire is the third largest national park in Tanzania and is known throughout the world for its dense population of herbivores and large herds of elephants.
Not just the animals, even the large baobab trees inside the national park have become tourist attractions in recent times. The national park's life blood is the Tarangire River, which bisects the park.
The river is also where many animals, both predators and preys, gather around. This provides for an excellent game-viewing opportunity to all the travellers. Once you are done with the day-long safari, you head to Mto wa Mbu public campsite. Have a great shower at the campsite, and then dinner and overnight. Full board meals are included.
Day 2: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater tour
Start your day early. Carry a picnic lunch with you and head for the crater's floor at 7 a.m. The floor is teeming with wildlife as very few animals move in and out of its 2,000 feet-high walls.
See lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, and many bird species. Visit the nook and cranny of the crater, where your driver / guide will take you after contacting other safari drivers in the area.
Ascend from the crater floor late in the afternoon and drive to your Mto wa Mbu campsite for great shower, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 3: Lake Manyara and back to Arusha
Have breakfast in the morning at the camp. Pack all your stuff with you along with the picnic lunches and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing.
Lake Manyara is ideal for viewing birdlife, with over 400 species of birds found in the park. As well as birds, the national park is also famous for its tree-climbing lions. You enjoy your final day game drive tour and in the evening, go back to Arusha city.
Depending on your plans, you may either extend your stay in Tanzania or transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
