If you would like to experience total wilderness, join the team overnight in a camp using hammocks in the jungle for the rest of the nights.

Ipanema Jungle Lodge

Located more than two hours south of Manaus, to get there you will have to take a first boat to cross the Rio Negro from the port of Ceasa until you reach Careiro da Várzea, then take a van for about an hour and a half to reach a river called Paraná do Mamori, and finally take a canoe to reach the lodge after half an hour of navigation.

The hostel is located on the shores of the Ipanema Lake and is only accessible by the river. There, you will find all the necessary comfort for a quality stay. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, mosquito net, water, electricity, and there is even Wi-Fi.

Day 1

The tour begins at 7:30 a.m. in the morning. You will sail upstream the Rio Negro river to visit an indigenous community (Tukanos tribe). You will have a chance to participate in some rituals too. Then, you will visit the pink dolphin region where you get to swim with the dolphins too.

After that, you will cross the meeting of the waters (the Rio Negro and Rio Solimoes) and make your way over to a small fishermen's community called Catalan. Now, you are navigating to Monkey Island and exploring the water lilies lake. Lunch in a floating restaurant inside the January Ecological Park. There, you will have time to watch the monkeys and anacondas of the January lake.

Then, you will continue the journey to the Mamory River until Juma Lake (a tributary of the Amazon River), where you will be accommodated in a jungle lodge called Amazon Ipanema's Lodge. • The world of snakes: anacondas, boas, jararácas, corals, and bushmaster snakes
  • The world of birds: toucans, parrots, guacamayas or Macau, hummingbirds, herons, sparrows, and hawks

At night, you'll leave for the last canoe ride to observe the nightlife. Sleeping in the remote prime forest in hammocks with mosquitoes nets or you may return to the jungle lodge and spend the night in the native houses. All is flexible.
