You will be accommodated in a typical village house on the first night and in camp for the second and third night. There will be mosquito nets, bed sheets, and sleeping pad in the accommodations.
Note: Itineraries and activities are flexible and can be adapted according to the interests of clients and the program may vary depending on weather conditions and seasonal constraints (dry and rainy season), depending on the regulation of the water levels in rivers of the Amazon region.
The Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve (PSNR) was created on February 25, 1972, in order to conserve the ecosystems and biodiversity of the lower jungle of the Peruvian Amazon. Some of the representative species that this reserve protects are black caiman (Melanosuchus niger), river wolves (Pteronura brasiliensis), paiche (Arapaima gigas), taricaya (Podocnemis unifilis) and jaguars (Panthera onca). In the PSNR, there are numerous communities, both native and traditional. Its territory offers the possibility of carrying out first class tourism while exploring the Amazon.
For those who want to experience the jungle and observe its wildlife in a short period of time, the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve is the best choice. The Pacaya-Samiria promotes the preservation of the ecosystems and genetic diversity of the lowlands of the Peruvian Amazon. This reserve initiates the opportunity of researching flora and fauna, ensuring adequate management particular to those endangered species. Also, through sustainable tourism and the proper use of natural resources, people look forward to the beneficial development of the rainforest communities.
At 2,080,000 hectares (5,139,784 acres), the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve is the largest in Peru. Its entire area is set aside for the conservation of biological diversity and sustainable use of the wild terrestrial and aquatic flora and fauna. Within the Pacaya-Samaria National Reserve, everything, from the vast floodplain lakes to the incredible and varied fauna, is abundant and overwhelms the senses. Many Amazonian myths and legends take place in the reserve’s more mysterious spaces, and untouched virgin pockets of forest still exist.
Composed of tropical floodplain rainforests, the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve (RNPS) covers parts of several provinces within the region of Loreto. These include: Requena, Alto Amazonas, and Ucayali. It covers more than 2,080,000 hectares (5,139,784 acres) and is the most extensive reserves in the Peruvian Amazon. In 2015, it was designated as the second best place in the world to see wildlife.
You can buy handicrafts during the last day of the wildlife tour.
