For this safari tour, you will be provided with two nights of accommodation. This trip is leveled as standard which means standard hotel rooms are provided with breakfast, sightseeing tours and guest houses and lodges with a private room with private bathroom.

Program

Day 1: Drive to Chitwan

On your arrival at Sauraha Bus Stand, Tadi, or Bharatpur Airport (surcharge) our staff will receive you. You will then be transferred to our Lodge where you will be offered refreshment & be given a briefing on our lodge & its facilities. After being given your programs for the day, your room will then be allocated to you.

  • 13.00: Lunch
  • 15.00: Village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the life and lifestyle of the Tharus. Visit to the National Park Visitor’s center where you can learn more about the history of the National Park and about wildlife and sunset view from the bank of Rapti River.
  • 19.00: Tharu cultural dance presentation (which you will also participate in) by the local villagers or Slide show presentation on almost everything under the Chitwan.
  • 20.00: Dinner.

Day 2: Chitwan Activities

  • 06.00: Wake-up call
  • 06.30: Breakfast
  • 07.00: Canoe ride along the Rapti River. An excellent opportunity for Bird Watching and for seeing the 2 rare species of crocodiles; the Marsh Mugger and the fish-eating Gharial. Enjoy a jungle walk. On the way back, one can enjoy the elephant bathing view.
  • 13.00: Lunch
  • 15.00: Head on a jeep safari, which provides an excellent opportunity to see four different kinds of deer, rhinoceros, wild boar, monkey, leopard, sloth bear, and the Royal Bengal Tiger (If you are lucky). You will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Chitwan their home.
  • 20.00: Dinner

Day 3: Drive to Kathmandu

  • 6:00: Wake-up call
  • 06.30: Breakfast
  • 07.00: Visit the Government Elephant Breeding Centre
  • 10.00: Departure for onward journey.

Across an area of over 952 sq. km on the southern central plains of subtropical Inner Terai Lowlands, plants and animals abound in Nepal’s largest natural reserve. The park’s southern boundary is bordered by Churia hills and the northern boundary by the Rapti river where 70% of the land is covered by Sal forest and 30% by grasslands and river land forests making it a perfect habitat for tigers, rhinos, wild elephants and various reptiles and birds, around 650 Species of birds are found in the region.

Chitwan National Park was established in 1973 A.D and was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984 A.D, the park territory covers three districts of Chitwan, Nawalpur, Makwanpur covering a vast area of marshlands and forests home to increasing numbers of animal species. Explore the National park witness wildlife and learn about the people living in the heart of the jungle.
