Day 1

The drive from Moshi to Lake Manyara National Park takes about four hours. After having a picnic lunch in Manyara, you start a late afternoon game drive, which is the best time to view animals in this park.

When you approach it from the east, the Rift Valley escarpment looms on the horizon forming an impressive backdrop to the lake. In the tall trees of the groundwater forest, monkeys leap from branch to branch, and on the escarpment, elephants stand in the shade. Other animals frequently seen are zebras, impalas, monkeys, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, and others. Overnight at the Twiga campsite.

Day 2

The drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge takes three to four hours. Olduvai Gorge is an archaeological site located in the eastern Serengeti Plains, in which early human fossils were first discovered. It has an amazing landscape that resulted from the same tectonic forces that created the Great Rift Valley millions of years ago. Then, in the late evening drive to and overnight at the Seronera campsite.

Meal plan: Full board.

Day 3

After breakfast, venture into the Serengeti's wilderness corners for a full day of game viewing in the park. With a picnic lunch beside you, take your leisure while exploring this world heritage site, where earth's largest concentration of plain game still roams free! In the late evening, go to the Seronera Campsite for rest, dinner, and overnight.

Day 4

After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive inside the crater. This is the best place in Tanzania to see black rhino as well as prides of lion that include the magnificent black-manned males.

There are lots of colorful flamingos and a variety of water birds. Other game that you can see includes leopard, cheetah, hyena, other members of the antelope family, and small mammals. Dinner and overnight at the Twiga Campsite.

Meal plan: Full board.

Day 5

The drive from the Twiga Campsite to Tarangire National Park takes two hours. This park is spectacular in the dry season when many of the migratory wildlife species come back to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River.

Huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and Oryx gather to stay in Tarangire until the onset of the rain when they migrate again to good grazing areas. In the late afternoon, drive back to the hotel in Moshi or Arusha.

With 40 registered Kilimanjaro guides and a fleet of 4x4 Land Rovers, 4x4 mini buses, and 4x4 land cruisers (all equipped with viewing roofs), Almighty Kilimanjaro team is ready to take you on your safari adventure. Their English-speaking guides will share the knowledge and stories of the incredible Tanzania game reserves.

This safari will take place in Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and Ngorongoro Crater, Manyara Region, Tanzania.

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park covers 330 square kilometers (127 square miles), 70% of which is a lake. Along with its western boundaries is the Rift Valley’s western wall. The park is famous for its birdlife – almost 400 different species – and for its elephant population and tree-climbing lions, who have a large variety of tree species to choose from. The short game-viewing circuit through Manyara offers a microcosm of the Tanzanian safari experience.

Ngorongoro Crater

One of nature’s true wonders and a photographer’s paradise, Ngorongoro is the largest intact crater in the world, covering 265 square kilometers (102 sq mi). The 2,000-foot deep crater is home to an abundance of wild game including elephants, rhinos, cheetahs, lions, leopards, hyenas, serval cats, jackals, bushbucks, elands, waterbucks, wildebeest, many antelope, and a large variety of birds. This is a sight that you will always remember!

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park covers 6,734 square kilometers (2,600 square miles) and includes two large plains and a seasonal swamp in the south. This is a beautiful park filled with Baobabs and Acacias with a large variety of games such as zebras, elephants, giraffes, and waterbuck.

All the animals enjoy the water coming from the Tarangire River. The animals are best viewed during the dry season, including elephant herds, elands, Oryx, lesser kudu, rhino, leopards, lions, and cheetah. The birdlife is varied and plentiful. You can also see the very rare Roam Antelope in this park.
