This safari features some of the popular Northern Circuit game parks. With the best of Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara safari, travel in custom designed 4x4 safari vehicles with open roofs for game viewing. This is a small group seat-in-vehicle safari with a maximum of six travelers per vehicle, all with window seats. This safari package includes two days and one-night camping accommodation, accommodation is at Twiga Campsite.

Twiga Campsite

Twiga Lodge and Campsite is located at Mto wa Mbu, one-and-a-half-hour drive from Arusha town. Its extensive facilities and beautiful setting have made Twiga a very popular stopover along the route to many Northern Circuit tourist attractions. Walkers and cyclists might be pleased to note that the excellent site and provides fresh air and good views of the wonderful surroundings.

If you would like to sleep under the stars, they have a few extremely affordable options for you: You can choose to pitch your own tent, bring a camper van, or hire one of their budget tents. Program

Day 1: Lake Manyara National Park

Drive from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park, this journey will take two hours. After lunch in Manyara, you will go on a game drive and view monkeys and elephants stand in the shade of a baobab. Other animals seen are zebras, impalas, monkeys, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, and others. Overnight at the Twiga Campsite.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater

This morning, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for full day game driving and exploration. The crater is 600 meters deep, 16 kilometers across, and 265 square kilometers in area. Enjoy the spectacular scenery and game viewing, in what has been described as the eighth wonder of the world. Many of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino can be seen grazing on the open grassland of the crater floor, surrounded by some of the 20,000 large animals that occupy the crater, including lion, cheetah, eland, zebra, and gazelle. Flamingo, among other bird species, can often be seen feeding at Makat Soda Lake as well. Afternoon return to your hotel in Arusha.

Lake Manyara

Lake Manyara National Park covers 330 square kilometers (127 square miles), 70% of which is a lake. Along its western boundaries is the Rift Valley’s western wall. The park is famous for its birdlife - almost 400 different species and for its elephant population and tree-climbing lions, who have a large variety of tree species to choose from. The short game-viewing circuit through Manyara offers a microcosm of the Tanzanian safari experience.

Ngorongoro Crater

One of nature’s true wonders and a photographer’s paradise, Ngorongoro is the largest intact crater in the world, covering 265 square kilometers (102 square miles). The 2,000-foot deep crater is home to an abundance of wild game including elephants, rhinos, cheetahs, lions, leopards, hyenas, serval cats, jackals, pushbacks, elands, waterbucks, wildebeest, many antelope, and a large variety of birds. This is a sight that you will always remember!
