Day 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel or airport and you will drive west to Maasai Mara Game Reserve with lunch en route. You will arrive in time for an evening game drive. Masai Mara Game Reserve is Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Although July, August, and September are the months when the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year-round. The famous Maasai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game reserve. Dinner and overnight at a lodge.

Day 2: Masai Mara full day
After breakfast, proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close-range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool looking out for hippos and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru
Early morning pre-breakfast game drive. After breakfast, depart the Mara region for Nakuru, lunch en route, with scenic views of Mt. Longmont and Lake Naivasha from afar on the main highway. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Samburu
After breakfast, proceed on a game drive in the nearby Lake Nakuru National Park, the abode of various water birds that breed in the lake's alkaline waters including flamingos. White rhino, Rothschild's giraffe, and plains game are other species encountered while Waterbuck and cape buffalo are common on the lakeshore. Depart for Samburu Game Reserve via the Thomson Falls and Nanyuki, arriving in Samburu in the evening. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.

Day 5: Samburu full day
You will have a morning and afternoon game drive including outings at dawn, when animals are most active, and in the afternoon, when the light is best for photography. Return to the lodge for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This day you stay close to the EwasoNyiro River, where vast herds of plains game come to water, braving lions in the grass, leopards in the trees, and giant crocodiles. The stars of Samburu not easily seen elsewhere are the liver-red reticulated giraffe, the long-necked gerenuk antelopes, and the elegant grevy’s zebra. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.

Day 6: Samburu - Nairobi
Pre-morning game drive till around 8:30 a.m. Later, the driver will bring you to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, depart for Nairobi with lunch en route, arriving in the evening. You will be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport to connect your flight back home.
