In this amazing three-day Nyerere National Park Safari, you will have a tour package taking you through Dar es Salaam. The bulk of your time will be spent exploring the incredible game reserve. A boat and walking safari will also take you on a unique tour to marvel at the wildlife that inhabits the reserve.
Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park
In the morning, depart for Nyerere National Park. You will arrive for a hot lunch at the lodge. The journey to Selous will take about four to five hours. In the afternoon, you will go out for a boat safari along the mighty Great Rufiji River starting from 16:00 until sunset. This boat safari will bring you into close contact with hippos, crocodiles, and fantastic birdlife.
The animals might make their way to the river to drink and the boat may approach elephants, waterbucks, and others on the river banks or within a few meters. Crocodiles may glide into the water as your boat approaches and hippos may appear in frightening proximity, grunting and blowing steam.

Day 2: Full-day game drive in Nyerere National Park
You will go on a full-day game drive In Nyerere National Park, with exploration of the reserve by a 4WD vehicle. You will have good photographic opportunities and the chance to explore different sections of this vast park.
The Nyerere NP is the largest national park in Tanzania, covering an area of 30,200 square kilometers. Nyerere NP is famous for its elephants. Also commonly seen are lions, wild dogs, buffaloes, bushbuck, impalas, elands, baboons, zebra, wildebeest, and greater kudu.

Day 3: Walking safari with a bushman then drive to Dar es Salaam
Wake up early in the morning and have a cup of coffee or tea, then go out for a wilderness walking safari with the guidance of an armed ranger, which will take two to two and a half hours.
This walking safari will give you a particularly intimate feel for African wild. You will get the chance to touch nature and see the footprints and droppings of different wild animals and small creatures that you can’t see during the game drive.
After the walking safari, you will go back to the camp for breakfast then pack your stuff and start driving back to Dar es Salaam with a packed lunch. Drop off will be at your hotel, ferry, or airport for your next destination.
