Lake Nakuru Lodge is one of Kenya’s most densely populated wetlands and a worldwide haven for birds. Originally a farm house, the lodge is located inside Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru Lodge provides 68 rooms and cottages with 136 beds. The rooms have chalet bathrooms with private shower and other amenities including mosquito nets, telephones, an in-room safe, and veranda with a panoramic view of Lake Naivasha. The service is unmatched anywhere in Kenya, a country renowned for hospitality.
The main restaurant is a comfortable setting that radiates a warm African atmosphere, to provide the perfect environment for guests to enjoy a meal, chat or to relax. The restaurant overlooks the park, providing an opportunity to spot more wildlife and exotic birdlife. The lodge offers the spacious logged Mama Nikki Bar and the cool upstairs Rhino Paddock Cocktail Bar which overlook lake Nakuru and the lodge's swimming pool. Evening entertainment and the slide shows for the guests are interesting and varied.
The Mara Sopa Lodge has 77 rooms, 12 suites, and 1 Presidential suite, all of which are 'roundavel' style and have en-suite bathroom facilities which provide shaving sockets and hairdryers. It also has a freeform, fresh-water pool which offers spectacular views over the valley. Every room and suite have a private, elevated verandah with splendid views across the valley and on which guests can relax, sunbathe and watch resident birds and wildlife.
Mini-bars are also available in each room. The Mara Sopa safari lodges offers a special Honeymoon Suite for the just married or those who want to re-kindle their love fire, this honeymoon suite is situated right at the top of the property with an uninterrupted view of the Oloongama hills, Facilities in the Mara Sopa's honeymoon suite include a king size bed set on a platform, a bathroom with a sunken in bath and shower. A spacious verandah is in the front to watch the sunset or have privately served meals.
On arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), you will be greeted by African Mosaic Tours representative and will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay. You will be staying at Panafrica Hotel or similar hotel.
In the morning, you will departure to Lake Elementaita arriving in the mid-morning. You will have a bird walk where you can try to identify available bird species such as glossy ibis, black heron, red-billed teal, and black-tailed godwit among others. Lunch will be at Lake Elementaita lodge. In the afternoon, you will have a bird walk around the lodge. Dinner and overnight will be at Lake Elementaita lodge.
After breakfast, you will depart from Elementaita for a scenic drive through the Great North road to Lake Naivasha arriving by mid-morning for bird walk before lunch at Lake Naivasha Sopa lodge. Lake Naivasha is close to Lake Nakuru and only 65 miles away from Nairobi. The lake was declared as a bird sanctuary in 1967 and supports pastoral industries of wine and flowers.
During your full day field trip to Lake Naivasha, you will learn the birds of the region such as herons, fish eagles, ospreys, black crakes, and lily-trotters. Dominated by the shadow of Mount Longonot, there are only a few lakes in the world that have more commanding or spectacular setting than Naivasha. You will also have an excursion that includes reliving the experience of Joy Adamson and Elsa while viewing "Born Free". Lake Naivasha, sitting on the rift floor is a home to an incredible variety of species. Over 450 species have been recorded here. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge or similar.
After breakfast, you will depart to Lake Nakuru National Park. Famed for its millions of flamingoes nesting the lake with pink shine, the lake is also known as "the pink heart of Kenya". You will spend your afternoon with game or bird viewing. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Lake Nakuru Lodge or Sopa lodge.
You will spend the whole day birdwatching at the park and if you're lucky enough, you will have the chance to see the shy cat, the leopard, often seen in this park, before returning for lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, you will have some time to relax before embarking on your late afternoon game drive to try and capture what was not seen during the day before the dusk engulf. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Lake Nakuru Lodge or Sopa Lodge.
After breakfast, there will be a drive across the floor of the Great Rift Valley the longest rift in the crust of the Earth to Masai Mara Game Reserve known as the unspoiled savanna. Masai Mara is actually the northern part of the Great Plains ecosystem in the neighboring Tanzania called Serengeti. It is a home to the big five - lion, buffalo, rhino, leopard, and elephant - as well cheetah, zebra, giraffe, and vast herds of plain antelope and numerous and other wildlife.
Your accommodation for the nights will be at one of the excellent lodge Mara Sopa Lodge. Set in the Oloolaimutia valley the lodge blends in perfectly with its surrounding hillside landscape. After lunch and some time to relax and perhaps take a dip in the pool, you will depart with your guide for an afternoon game drive in search of the big five. As the sun starts to edge dip into the horizon it will be the perfect time to photograph the beautiful Mara rolling plains. Remember that this is the right time to spot the shy leopard! Dinner and overnight will be at Mara Sopa Lodge.
You will have an early breakfast. After breakfast, your game drive will start. The drive includes a visit to Mara River and memorable birding days in Africa. With picnic lunch en route, you will spend your day in Mara plains trying to identify and record over 450 species in this reserve. All meals and overnight for the day will be served at Mara Sopa Lodge.
After breakfast, you will drive back to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch at city restaurant where you can enjoy some good food. You will also check-in to a day room at Nairobi hotel. Early in the evening, there will be a farewell dinner hosted by African Mosaic Tours company at the world famous Carnivore Restaurant be considered "Africa's greatest eating experience". You will then be transferred to the airport in time for your international departure flight.

Majestic Masai Mara is the home to great annual animal migration from Serengeti from Tanzania probably the most famous visited National park in East Africa and Africa, see the “Big Five" (buffalo, lion, elephant, leopard, rhino) it is also home to the Maasai tribe. Animal migration starts in June and ends in September in search of pasture under a watchful eye of, vultures, eagles and at the mercy of hyena, crocodile, and hippo.
Nairobi National Park is Kenya's oldest national park, 117 square kilometers and only 7 kilometers from Nairobi City's dramatic skyline which is set against the majestic savannah urban center. It prides itself as the only city in the world so close to natural game reserve with over 100 species of animals.
Nairobi National Park has a special migration corridor which attracts a range of exciting games. The animals here include indigenous Black Rhino, zebra, wildebeest, eland cheetah that you can enjoy it between July to August. It is ideal as the starting or ending point for safaris plus you can spot so many bird species. The park doesn’t have elephants.
It is also ideal for a one-day trip together with a visit to national museum, David Sheldrick elephant orphanage, giraffe centre, lunch at Karen Blixen Museum, made famous by movie “Out of Africa”, and a dinner at Carnivore restaurant to complete your full day, you will wish you could have more time for more fun.
