Mara Sopa Lodge

The Mara Sopa Lodge has 77 rooms, 12 suites, and 1 Presidential suite, all of which are 'roundavel' style and have en-suite bathroom facilities which provide shaving sockets and hairdryers. It also has a freeform, fresh-water pool which offers spectacular views over the valley. Every room and suite have a private, elevated verandah with splendid views across the valley and on which guests can relax, sunbathe and watch resident birds and wildlife.

Mini-bars are also available in each room. The Mara Sopa safari lodges offers a special Honeymoon Suite for the just married or those who want to re-kindle their love fire, this honeymoon suite is situated right at the top of the property with an uninterrupted view of the Oloongama hills, Facilities in the Mara Sopa's honeymoon suite include a king size bed set on a platform, a bathroom with a sunken in bath and shower. A spacious verandah is in the front to watch the sunset or have privately served meals. The price two pax persons sharing a room is around 1838 USD per person, while four to six pax person sharing a room is 1559 USD per person. Additional 345 USD for single supplement.

Lake Nakuru Lodge

Lake Nakuru Lodge is one of Kenya’s most densely populated wetlands and a worldwide haven for birds. Originally a farm house, the lodge is located inside Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru Lodge provides 68 rooms and cottages with 136 beds. The rooms have chalet bathrooms with private shower and other amenities including mosquito nets, telephones, an in-room safe, and veranda with a panoramic view of Lake Naivasha. The service is unmatched anywhere in Kenya, a country renowned for hospitality.

The main restaurant is a comfortable setting that radiates a warm African atmosphere, to provide the perfect environment for guests to enjoy a meal, chat or to relax. Samburu Sopa Lodge

The hotel’s unique guest rooms are spread up and down the river in various sizes of cottages and bandas, with a mixture of decor styles. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, and some have verandas overlooking the river. Facing the river, the open-sided dining room allows guest to enjoy the sights and sounds of the river as they dine. The famous Crocodile Bar lets you look crocodiles in the eye as you sip your sundowner. Sip early morning or afternoon tea from the Lounge as you watch the animals and the Uaso Nyiro River.

Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara

You will be picked-up from your hotel at 08:30 and driven to the view point of the Rift Valley, descend the escarpment and drive via Narok town then to Masai Mara for lunch at the camp. After lunch, you will proceed for afternoon game drive in Masaai Mara game reserve, famous for its black manned lion and yearly migrations of wildebeests from Serengeti in Tanzania to Masai Mara in Kenya, dinner and overnight at the Mara Sopa lodge or Sentrim Camp.

Day 2: Maasai Mara

After early morning breakfast, you will enjoy a full day spent game viewing and exploring this spectacular park with picnic lunch served in the park at the Mara river border of Kenya and Tanzania. You will return to the camp or lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 3: Masaai Mara

You will have a morning game drive before breakfast, return to the camp for late breakfast followed by afternoon optional nature walk or a visit to a nearby Maasai village to experience the Maasai culture and traditional dances. You will have all meals and overnight at the camp in Maasai Mara.

Day 4: Maasai Mara to Nakuru

After breakfast, you will leave Maasai Mara game reserve with the last game drive as you drive to Nakuru with lunch en route, arriving in Nakuru late in the afternoon for dinner and overnight at a Nakuru hotel.

Day 5: Nakuru to Samburu

After breakfast, you will have a game drive in Lake Nakuru Park which is known for flamingos and its richness in other bird life and wild animals including white and black rhinos. After late breakfast, you will leave for Samburu with lunch en route and game drive on arrival. Dinner and overnight will be at Samburu Sopa Lodge.

Day 6: Samburu

Today you will spend the full day in Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives, all meals, and overnight at Sopa lodge.

Day 7: Samburu to Mount Kenya to Nairobi

After breakfast leave Samburu for Nanyuki at the base of Mount Kenya for picnic lunch. You will be dropped off here if you want to stay behind to and climb Mount Kenya. After lunch, you leave for Nairobi and will be arriving in the late afternoon.

Kenya holds the reputation as the ultimate safari destination. A Kenya safari is renowned for its outstanding wildlife viewing, wide open plains, breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro followed by a relaxing stay on a palm fringed coast with soft white sandy shores.

Lake Nakuru National Park

Africa’s famous ornithological lake with stunning flocks of pink lesser flamingos that turn its water pink. It has great ecological diversity, from lake water, woodland, rocky escarpments, and ridges. Games include hippos, Reedbuck, zebra, black and white rhino on park sanctuary, buffalo, leopard, lion, Rothschild’s giraffe, white and black colobus monkey, bushlands, eland, steinbok, impala, Chandler's Reedbuck and dik dik, rock hyrax and klipspringer which occupy the cliffs, and its escarpment plus many more.

Masai Mara National Reserve

Majestic Masai Mara is the home to great annual animal migration from Serengeti from Tanzania probably the most famous visited National park in East Africa and Africa, see the “Big Five" (buffalo, lion, elephant, leopard, rhino) it is also home to the Maasai tribe. Animal migration starts in June and ends in September in search of pasture under a watchful eye of, vultures, eagles and at the mercy of hyena, crocodile, and hippo.

Mount Kenya National Park

Mount Kenya is Africa's second highest mountain standing at 5199 meters. It offers easy or challenging ascents with scenic and spectacular beauty. Name comes from Kere Nyaga, Kikuyu name for Mount Kenya, meaning Mountain of Brightness - Ngai's official home. It provides great fascination flora and fauna. The lower slopes is covered with dry upland forest, with True Mountain which begins at 2000 meters and dense belt of bamboo forest which merges with high altitude moss.

It is host to many different animals and plants like Black and White Colobus and Sykes monkeys, bushbuck, buffalo, elephant, and lower down Olive Baboon, waterbuck, black rhino, black fronted duikers, leopard, giant forest hog, genet cat, bush pig and hyena and rare elusive bongo, forest, other rare or endangered species like Sunni Buck, Mount Kenya Mole Shrew, Skinks (lizard), and a variety of owls can be also be seen here including albino zebra.

High altitude heath tops 3000 to 3500 meters which is generally open and dotted with shrubs, African Sage, protea, and helicrysum. The peak above 3500 meters is a moorland, with little game other than high altitude zebra and eland.

Samburu National Reserve

Referred to as Samburu, also includes Buffalo Springs and Shaba Reserves. On your drive here, passing the colorful town of Isiolo, you will likely see a camel train walking single file thru the brush or along a dry riverbed. To this parched area, camels are commonplace. Though not completely dry, as the Uaso Nyiro River serves as an erratic, albeit critical, and water source. Here you will find unique animal species: Reticulated giraffe, the Grevy’s zebra, the gerenuk, Somali ostrich, Thompson’s and Grant’s gazelles, as well as, elephant, waterbuck, cheetah, leopard, lion, and hyena.
