The Masai Mara is one of the best-known and most popular reserves in the whole of Africa. At times and in certain places it can get a little overrun with tourist vehicles, but there is something so special about it that tempts you back time and again. Seasoned safari travelers, travel writers, documentary makers, and researchers often admit that the Masai Mara National Game Reserve is one of their favorite places. Why is that so? Perhaps it is because of the big skies, the open vast Savannah, the romance of films like Out of Africa, and certainly because of the annual wildebeest migration, the density of game, the variety of birdlife, and the chance of a hot air balloon ride as tourists overlook game from above.
You will be accommodated at the Enchoro Wildlife Camp Superior Tent.
Enchoro Camp accommodation in Maasai Mara is offered in simple tents, all with en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold shower, flush toilet, changing room, and lockers for valuables. A writing desk with folding safari chairs and magazines to keep you entertained is provided. This is your home a way from home.
The camp is clean, comfortable, safe, and relaxed. Several types of tented accommodations to suit customers' needs are set up here. For example, the Enchoro bush camp is geared for families, as the safari camp is partly fenced in and kids can roam around in complete safety within the confines of this budget tented camp.
The Enchoro wildlife camp is designed for budget travelers or groups from 50 people and above traveling together; this camp is ideal for large families (children from one year to 12 years and older), friends, or small team-building group.
Pick up from the airport or from your Nairobi Hotel at 07:00 and head southward. Have a brief stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint commonly referred to as the Escarpment. Proceed further southward heading to Masai Mara arriving at the Enchoro Wildlife Camp on time for lunch.
Relax after lunch getting ready for your afternoon game drive that starts from 15:45 till 18:30 to see the many animals that inhabit this unique park. All the Big Five: rhinos, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and elephants live in this wonderful game reserve. After the game drive, return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Have your breakfast at 06:00 and leave the camp with packed picnic lunch at 06:30. Spend the entire day exploring the reserve in search of the Big Five. With over 450 species of birds recorded here, there is much to see including rhinos, leopards, elephants, buffalo, wildebeests, zebra, warthog, Jackals, lions, many types of antelopes, crocodiles, and giraffes. Whether you are a game lover or an ornithologist Masai Mara has it all and never disappoints. Picnic lunch is served in the reserve along the banks of Mara River, the wildebeest migration point. Return to the camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Wake up early and proceed for your last game drive at 06:00 in the reserve followed by a return to the camp for your late breakfast. Check out and load your luggage departing for Nairobi arriving in Nairobi in the late afternoon. You will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your home flight or a Nairobi Hotel depending on your drop off request.
It is the world's famous game reserve due to the annual wildebeests' migration. It is part of Serengeti National park in Tanzania. Often described as the greatest of nature's stages, the Maasai Mara, with its huge dramatic skies, is the most popular of all Kenya's game parks.
The landscape which is mostly savanna, hosts approximately 22 families of lions and 3000 elephants. This park is famous for herds of elephants, buffaloes, wildebeest, and zebras that roam its plains. The Mara River is one of the best places to observe hippos and crocodiles.
Two breakfasts, two lunches, and two dinners are included in the price of the package. You will be also provided with drinking mineral water daily.
During the second day of the safari tour, you can visit a local Maasai village, listen and admire their local history, songs, dances, and art of storytelling.
