Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu
Meet-and-greet services on arrival in the morning at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or pick-up from your hotel at 07:30 hrs by an African Breeze Tours driver-guide. You will depart and drive north through the northern frontier district and on to Samburu Game Reserve. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in this reserve, famous for its exclusive game viewing. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 2: Samburu Full Day
Spend the whole day exploring Samburu Game Reserve, starting with an early morning game drive when the lighting is perfect for photography and wildlife is most active. Enjoy mid-morning and afternoon game drives, with the opportunity to spot all three big cats: lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
You have the option of taking picnic lunch boxes to spend the entire day in Samburu Game Reserve. There is also an optional visit to a Samburu village to learn about the unique culture of the Samburu tribe at an additional cost.
Samburu Game Reserve is home to a wide variety of wildlife and bird species. Several species are unique to the region, including its dry-country animals. In addition to lions, cheetahs, and leopards, you may also encounter elephants and buffalo. The Uaso Nyiro River contains a large number of Nile crocodiles. Other frequently seen mammals include gerenuk, Grant’s gazelle, Kirk’s dik-dik, impala, waterbuck, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx, and reticulated giraffe.
Over 400 species of birds have been recorded in Samburu Game Reserve. These include the Somali ostrich, grey-headed kingfisher, sunbird, bee-eater, marabou stork, tawny eagle, bateleur, vulturine guineafowl, lilac-breasted roller, palm-nut vulture, red-billed hornbill, secretary bird, Verreaux’s eagle, superb starling, yellow-billed hornbill, and various vultures.

Day 3: Samburu – Nairobi
Embark on an early morning game drive at sunrise when predators are most active, then return to the camp for breakfast. After breakfast, depart Samburu National Reserve, enjoying the last picturesque views of the reserve before arriving in Nairobi in the afternoon.
You will be dropped off at either your hotel or the airport to connect with your homebound flight, depending on the arrangements, marking the end of your safari.
