Accommodation

The type of accommodation for your safari is specialty camping (mobile tent). The camp will consist of a dining tent as well as dome tents with bedrolls with toilet and bucket shower cubicles to share. You will spend two nights in Nxai Pan, a night in Makgadikgadi Pan, two nights in Chobe National Park, three nights in Savuti, and three nights in Moremi Game Reserve. The minimum occupancy per campsite is one to two persons, with the average of eight persons.

Program

Day 1: Arrival day (pick up)

On arrival at Maun Airport (MUB), you will be met by your guide and depart from the airport to Nxai Pan where you will spend two nights.

Day 2: Nxai Pan (exploration day)

Nxai Pan is a unique attraction of Botswana, located in northern part of Makgadikgadi Pan. It has a vast of wildlife species that reside in the reserve area. The grass-covered pans are scattered with acacia trees and mopane woodland, and provide a haven for wildlife when they turn green during the rainy season.

Day 3: Makgadikgadi Pan

Wake up in the morning and have breakfast and head on to Makgadikgadi Pan for another safari experience. Packed lunch will be served on a chosen space. Your activity will be an afternoon game drive. You will spend one night at Makgadikgadi Pan. Makgadikgadi consists of many large salt pans, the largest of which reaches 4,900 square kilometers - which are seasonally covered in water and grass. Wildebeests, zebras, and flamingos congregate on the pans, and ancient baobab trees dot the surreal, salt desert.

Day 4-5: Chobe National Park

You will rise early and after coffee or tea and a healthy snack, you will board your game viewing vehicle. A game drive takes you into Chobe National Park. A packed lunch will be served en route. Experience spectacular morning and afternoon game drives, also witness huge concentrations of game along Chobe’s stunning riverine landscape.

Day 6-8: Savuti

Savuti is a suitable place that no one would like to miss on a holiday trip. It is popularly known for its unique experience of abundance in wildlife species and the beautiful landscape covered with a mash of grass. Amazing sighting of cats such as lions and leopards has been a memorable experience since the place existed. Old bull elephants are notable and permanently residing in the area. Secretary bird, kori bustard, carmine bee-eaters, and fish eagle are the common highlights birding species in Savuti. All daily meals will be served every day as planned with your tour leader.

Day 9-11: Moremi Game Reserve

After breakfast, you will depart for the world famous Moremi Game Reserve, where you’ll enjoy a great diversity of plant and animal life and a late afternoon game drive. You will spend two nights here to explore the abundance of game and to have an unforgettable bush experience. Game drives in safari vehicles will enable you to explore the magnificent Moremi Game Reserve and its spectacular wildlife. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives on your full day at Moremi Game Reserve.

Day 12: Departure

After an early breakfast, you will transit back to Maun Airport (MUB) via a leisurely game drive.

Moremi Game Reserve

Moremi Game Reserve is located in the eastern part of Okavango Delta. It covers up to one-third of Okavango Delta. The reserve is popularly known for its diverse concentration of wildlife species, birds, and rich vegetation throughout the year. The wetlands give an incredible view and spectacular game sighting. The highlights include; the rare sitatunga, lechwe, lion, leopard. Large herds of impala, zebra, and buffalo normally flock to the beautiful floodplains to drink water. The papyrus along the waterways is normally a home to the lechwe and is suitable for boat cruise; therefore, a boat cruise is vital to experience more of the uniqueness of delta channels.

Day 3

  • Lunch: Vegetable lasagna, sweet potato salad, green salad, cheese board, fruit skewers, and onion bread
  • High tea: Banana loaf and chicken shawarma
  • Dinner: Chicken roast, savory rice, mixed vegetables, and poached pears in red wine sauce

Day 4

  • Lunch: Spaghetti bolognese, green salad, potato salad, cheese board, fruit platter, and seed bread
  • High tea: Ginger cake and tuna roll
  • Dinner: Sirloin beef steak, mashed potatoes, assorted vegetables, and sticking date pudding

Day 5

  • Lunch: Bobotie meat, greek salad, coleslaw salad, spiced rice salad, cheese board, fruit platter, and herd bread
  • High tea: Scones and cheese straws
  • Dinner: Leg of lamb roast, savory couscous, carrots, snow peas, and baked banana

Day 6

  • Lunch: Chicken or beef stir-fry, green salad, three bean salad, cheeseboard, fruit salad, and focaccia bread
  • High tea: Carrot cake and meatballs
  • Dinner: T-bone steak beef, beans casserole, broccoli, baby corn, and lemon or orange pudding

Day 7

  • Lunch: Macaroni cheese, green salad, beetroot salad, cheeseboard, fruit platter, and fresh bread
  • High tea: Chocolate cake and vegetable quiche
  • Dinner: Traditional food, seswaa, oxtail, chicken pieces, papa, jacket potatoes, fried cabbage, creamed spinach, tomato and onion salsa, and fruit salad
