You will be staying in some lodges as your base during the safari, including The Tree House Game Lodge. Each lodge that you will be staying at is small and has friendly staff, great food, and excellent ranger guides. The lodge is unique and will make you feel comfortable, relaxed, and taken care of. Africa Wild Safaris also take into account the quality of the wildlife and choose only the best.
Professional wildlife photographer, Gregory Sweeney, is your guide on this safari to private reserves in the Limpopo area, Kruger National Park which are some of the most game-rich areas of South Africa. Each day, you will have 2 photo sessions that will get you closely to the animals including big cats, elephant, and rhino. Every activity is about getting the best photo opportunities possible and taking time to get the shot. You will explore the national park, as well as some private reserves where you will be able to go off road to track animals. Africa Wild Safaris use open safari vehicles so you can have wide views and get the best shot.
You will finish the trip with a visit to a unique big 5 bush lodge. Down time is spent informally discussing digital workflow, animal behavior and how to use it in photography, and processing techniques to store and enhance your photos. You will not only return with great photos, but new friends, and skills as well. Africa Wild Safaris will immerse you in safari experience with discussions about the ecosystem and the animals that surround you.
If you depart from Hoedspruit, you will either arrive into Johannesburg on this day or have arrived the afternoon before. The time after breakfast is for processing photos, group or one on one mentoring, or relaxing. After a light meal in the late afternoon, you will head to the reserve again and return after sundown. Africa Wild Safaris often pack drinks with them so you can to enjoy the drinks while you watching and photographing the sunset. Dinner is served around an open fire.
