During this safari tour, you will be traveling to different destination to explore more wildlife species. On the first day of the tour, you will be staying at the Wilbeest Camp in Nairobi. For the rest of the tour, you will be staying at other accommodations.

This African safari package offers you unparalleled game viewing, along with evening relaxation in the region's top quality hotels and game lodges. You will get to enjoy several game drives from a private 4x4 vehicles along with experienced guides, to search for animals such as lion, elephant, giraffe, and the full profusion of wildlife. Also, you will be spending three days of game viewing in Masai Mara, including a visit to the nearby Masai village.

Furthermore, you will cross the border into Serengeti for more game viewing and a visit into the fabled Ngorongoro Crater. The last destination will be Zanzibar. You will take flight to Zanzibar and unwind on languid beaches by the warm Indian Ocean for a truly memorable ending. Also, the cost of the internal flight is included.

Day 1: Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta

You will be met by representative from Africa Remote Safaris, then transfer from the airport to the rustic charm and modern comforts of this delightful camp that is set in the forested outskirts of Nairobi. You can spend the day relax by the swimming pool or just rest and enjoy the sunshine. Moreover, you can also visit the neighboring giraffe sanctuary. Tonight, you will be staying at the Wilbeest Camp.

Day 2: Nairobi to Masai Mara

This morning you will meet up with your guide and head off to Masai Mara, the journey will take about five to six hours. You will either head directly into the park for game viewing, then return to the camp for a late check-in. In other alternative, you can check-in first and then head out for an afternoon game drive. You can chat with the guide to ask for their recommendation based on your arrival time and park hours.

During the afternoon, you will be accompanied by an experienced tracker guide to go on an exciting game viewing adventure to search some of the area’s wildlife hot-spots. The guide have an understanding of the games daily routines through tracking, some of the wildlife such as leopard is more difficult to spot than others.

These spotted cats blend almost seamlessly into the tall grass and shrubbery, they are even more challenging to spot when they are up in their favorite hangouts which is the trees. Moving on, your guide will also take you to the nearby watering holes, from there you will spot many birds and wildlife species, including the elusive leopard.

Day 3: Masai Mara

Just like the local wildlife, you will head out bright and early this morning alongside with an experienced tracker-guide to go on a game drive. The eco-diversity and sheer size of the Masai Mara Game Reserve provides the necessary requirement to house a wide range of animal species. The most recognized species are known worldwide as the African big five, which includes the African elephant, cape buffalo, rhinoceros, leopard, and lion, the king of the beasts.

The term "big five" was coined by big-game hunters, as these species were the most difficult and dangerous to track and hunt. Subsequently, the term was adopted by the tourism industry for marketing purposes, spinning a web of positivity to opposed the negative effect portrayed by the original terminology.

There are numerous of other species of bird and wildlife inhabit this dynamic location including the hyenas, gazelles, impalas, giraffes, zebras, vultures, cranes, eagles, falcons, and ostriches. Day 4: Masai Mara

There are exceptional populations of zebras, gazelles, impalas, and the wildebeests, thunderously feed and migrate from the Serengeti and through the Mara area every year from July to October.

You will set out this afternoon with your tracker guide on another exciting game drive through the Masai Mara Game Reserve, the Mara area is one of the few places left in Africa where you can still spot rhinos in the wild. It is estimated that there are only 4000 black rhinos left in Africa, your guide will take you to the locations where rhino sightings have been recently reported to see if you can snap some photos of these elusive and lumbering giants.

Day 5: Masai Mara, Isebania, and Serengeti

You will depart Masai Mara Game Reserve today in a private vehicle with the guide, then journey towards Isebania for border crossing. Enjoy game viewing or depart first thing, driving past towns and villages along the way. Upon your arrival, the guide will arrange the necessary documentation for your entry into Tanzania. After you have crossed through Isebania border, you will switch vehicles and guides according to the country you will be entering.

Moving on, the journey continues and a specialized Tanzanian guide will drive the vehicle towards Serengeti Game Park. Please advise your guide if you would like to make any additional stop at shops and villages. Also, have your camera handy as you enjoy some game viewing upon entry into the park whilst traveling to your Serengeti based lodging.

Day 6: Serengeti

The morning African adventure begins with an exploratory game drive through Tanzania’s oldest and most recognized national park, which is known as Serengeti. This location offers the most expansive game viewing in Tanzania, from predators to prey and great herds of grazing herbivores to tactically cunning packs of carnivores. Also, the life on the plains of the Serengeti can best be defined as a complete circle of life.

Moreover, there will be photographic dream unfold before your eyes as giraffes and elephants feast on tasty shrubbery, while impalas, gazelles, and buffalo dance carefully through the plains as to not become the latest meal for on-looking lions, cheetahs, and hyenas.

During the afternoon, you will get ready to set out and accompanied by an experienced tracker-guide into the seamlessly never-ending expanses of the Serengeti. The park is world renowned for its healthy stock of resident wildlife species, in particular the African big five which includes buffalo, elephant, rhino, leopard, and lion. Although the rhino sighting is considered rare, there are very few black rhinoceros that are still living within the confines of the park grounds.

Moreover, Serengeti is also home to the largest population of lions and giraffes in all of Africa. There are also heavy concentrations of topi, gazelle, waterbuck, and coke’s hartebeest that provides an ample food source for the local carnivores such as cheetah, hyenas, and the African wild dog.

In addition, the park is also home to more than 500 species of birds ranging in size and weights. Some of these bird including ostrich, crowned crane, marabou stork, and secretary bird, these are the most sought after photogenic birds on the planet.

Day 7: Serengeti to Ngorongoro

This African journey continues as you board on a private vehicle and accompanied by a local tracker-guide, you will go on a visit to the overwhelming and large Ngorongoro Conversation Area. You will depart the Serengeti National Park ground in a slower pace, so that you can experience more game-viewing. At the Serengeti Welcome Centre, you will be marveled by the panoramic view of the surrounding area from the lookout point. During this journey, there will be a stop for a picturesque picnic.

Upon your arrival into the conservation area, you will head towards your overnight accommodation while taking in the overwhelming size of the Ngorongoro Crater. The approximate travel time may vary between five to six hours, depending on weather conditions and the number of stops you have made along the way. During the heavy rainy season, longer travel times should be expected.

Moreover, the massive Olduvai Gorge or Oldupai Gorge is often referred to as “The Cradle of Mankind.” Beginning in the eastern Serengeti plains, the gorge is roughly about 48 kilometers long. Resulting from millions years of natural erosion, this gorge boasts a steep-sided ravine that cuts and stretches its way through the Great Rift Valley along Eastern Africa. Also, the gorge is named after a commonly used plant by the Masai people with the scientific name of Sansevieria-Ehrenbergii or Oldupai for short.

Day 8: Ngorongoro

Today, you will be exploring one of the most recognized wildlife conservation areas in Tanzania. You are provided with a personalized and experienced tracker-guide, along with a private transportation to explore the Ngorongoro National Park grounds. You will depart from the camp or lodge in a private vehicle with a local expert guide, the journey will take approximately 20 to 30 minutes drive towards the Ngorongoro Park Gate and another 20 minutes to arrive at the crater rim itself.

The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera. This geological masterpiece was formed as a result of an extremely large volcanic explosion, it caused the volcano to collapse on itself and formed the crater. The crater is roughly 20 kilometers wide and about 2000 feet deep, the trip from crater floor to rim is around 45 minutes by 4x4 vehicle. Thus, the extremely fertile crater floor is the reason why there are highly concentrated amount of wildlife.

Moreover, there are over 20000 mammals call the crater home, including some of the only remaining black rhinos in the world. The crater floor also boasts one of the highest carnivore densities in the world, there are large prides of lions, packs of hyenas, as well as solitary predators like the cheetahs and jackals. The professional guide will recommend search patterns to help you spot some of the less common species such as leopards, servals, and bat-eared foxes.

Day 9: Ngorongoro, Arusha, and Zanzibar

The guide will drive you from Ngorongoro to Arusha, the journey will take approximately two hours and a half. On the same day, you will take your flight from Arusha Airport (ARK) to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ), and the duration of the flight is approximately one hour and 40 minutes. The luggage restriction for this flight is 15 kilograms per person, for both carry-on and checked luggage.

A duffel bag is recommended as check-in luggage, it has to be soft-sided and without wheels and spine. Moreover, a small purse or backpack is recommended as a carry-on to keep your camera, passport, hat, sunblock or other items you need within easy reach. The private driver will provide round trip transfer to travel between the airport and to your resort, or vice versa.

Day 10: Zanzibar

Zanzibar provides visitors with variety of activities, you can choose from half or full-day to go on a Swahili cultural tour, spice tour, stone town tour, and cooking lessons. Furthermore, there are also other adventures such as dolphin sandbank picnic, Mangapwani Beach, and slave market cultural experience. While at your lodging accommodation site, there are also other activities for you to enjoy including snorkeling, deep sea fishing, and reef kayaking.

Day 11: Zanzibar

Today, you can go on a visit to the spice farm village, it gives you an insight into the local life, as well as the opportunity to try some Swahili dishes, taste the fruits in season, and some spiced tea. You can walk through the spice farm with your guide, to touch, smell, and taste different spices and tropical fruits. While tasting the spices and fruits, you can also try to guess which is which from the crushed leaves, the fruit, shoots, vines, and creepers crawling up the trees.

Day 12: Zanzibar to Nairobi

Today, the private driver will provide round trip transfer to travel between the airport and to your resort, or vice versa. Please be aware that an additional departure tax of 49 USD per person is required for everyone who visit the island of Zanzibar. Moreover, hotels will also charge 1 USD per person and daily for infrastructure tax, it must be paid on-site before departing.

Enjoy this scenic flight from the Tanzanian island of Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ) to Nairobi, the Kenyan urban hub. The flight duration is approximately one hour and 20 minutes. The flight runs every two hours from Zanzibar to Nairobi, be aware that the airline reserves the right of canceling your flight and placing you on the next available flight.
