This safari trip takes to you Africa's second deepest lake, Lake Bunyonyi, which is approximately 144 feet deep. It is seven kilometers away from Kabale Town with about 29 islands including Bucuranuka Akampene (Punishment Island), Bushara Island, Bwama, Njuyeera (Sharp's Island), and Kyahugye Island. From there, you will proceed to the famous Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to the giant and rare mountain gorillas, and to more than half of the world's remaining gorillas.

On this safari, you will stay at Arcadia Cottages, Gorilla Valley Lodge, and Eagle's Nest Lodge.
High up on a ridge overlooking Lake Bunyonyi, the eleven self-contained cottages are arranged around a central lodge building where guests can enjoy the tasty dishes at the restaurant or relax and take in the truly breathtaking view. It has a 25-seater motor launch, ideal for taking in the lake and its islands on one of the daytime tours or watching the stars on the nighttime stargazing tour.
Located on a high hill bordering Lake Mburo National Park, the tented camp, which has one of the best views in Uganda, offers the ultimate African canvas experience. Every safari tent has its own veranda overlooking the park. The bathrooms are real bush-experiences, the shower is filled upon your request, and the toilet is a new eco-friendly invention. For dinner, a wood fire is prepared and big African potties are used. It truly is a real Africa experience!
Located on the border of the impenetrable forest and set on a steep slope, the lodge has a unique setting. Imagine waking up to the sounds of the forest, having your cup of coffee or tea at your private terrace, and experiencing the forest coming alive and the mist mysteriously giving way for a lush jungle.
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport (EBB), you will be met by a representative who will transfer you to Lake Bunyonyi. You will check in at Arcadia cottages at Lake Bunyonyi for dinner and overnight stay.
This day, you will have a lazy morning and enough time to relax at Lake Bunyonyi, with all meals inclusive. Accommodation will be at Arcadia cottages, Lake Bunyonyi.
After your breakfast and with your packed lunch, your guide will lead you to the park headquarters for a briefing, orientation, and meeting the rangers. You will then be separated into groups depending on the gorilla family you are going to track. The rangers will lead you through the gorilla paths in the thick Bwindi Impenetrable rain forest searching for the gorillas.
During the gorilla tracking experience, you may encounter other different animals and bird species. Once the gorillas have been tracked, you will be given a one-hour interaction, taking photos and videos of these giant and gentle apes. Later in the evening, you will check in at Gorilla Valley lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After your breakfast, you will be transferred to Lake Mburo National park, passing through the beautiful Kigezi highlands commonly referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa”. Lake Mburo National park is a well-known home for zebras, impalas, and other different animal species. You will have a stopover at Mbarara town for lunch. After a wonderful experience, you'll proceed into the park for dinner and overnight stay at Eagle’s Nest.
You will start your day with an early morning guided nature walk at Lake Mburo National Park where you may encounter some of its residents that include buffaloes, impalas, zebras, elands, warthogs, giraffes, and different bird species. After the bush walk, you will return for breakfast and refreshments at your lodge.
Then you'll prepare for a transfer back to Kampala. En route to Kampala, you will have a stopover at the Equator for photographs. Upon arrival at Kampala, you will prepare for a transfer to Entebbe International Airport (EBB) for your international flight.
The Impenetrable National Park is in Kanungu district south-western Uganda. Part of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, it is situated along the Democratic Republic of Congo border next to the Virunga.
Lake Bunyonyi is located at south-western Uganda between Kisoro and Kabale elevated at 1,962 meters above sea level, 25 kilometers long, and seven kilometers wide. Its rumored depth of about 144 feet makes it as one of the deepest lakes on the continent.
Lake Mburo National Park is located in Kiruhura District in the Western part of Uganda, with the great Ankole-Masaka corridor about 30 kilometers by road, east of Mbarara, and approximately 240 kilometers by road west of Kampala.
Daily meals and soft drinks are included in the price. A number of dishes may be served depending on the lodge menu and availability of the recipes and ingredients. They may include vegetarian and vegan dishes, organic food, raw food, pescatarian, regular food, fruits, and other food.
