This African safari will take you to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda's premier destination with the most diverse ecosystems in Africa. The park, which is 1,978 kilometer square in size, is the home to the famous tree climbing lions, topi, Uganda Kob, hyenas, elephants, baboons, hippos and a lot of primates such as chimpanzees, and more. One of the highlights of this safari is a launch trip along Kazinga channel between Lake George and Edward.
You will stay at a bush lodge which is centrally situated in the heart of the park bordering the Kazinga channel. With a unique setting, it was built along ecological principals. The bandas were designed and spaced to maximize privacy and enhance the safari aspect of the lodge.
After breakfast, you will set off from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have a stopover at the equator for the water experiment and photo taking. Then, you'll proceed into the park for a sunset game drive in search for different animals that may be in the park. You will be transferred to a bush lodge for dinner and an overnight stay later in the evening.
You will wake up early in the morning and go for the game drive in the park, observing different land animals and bird species. The park hosts a variety of wildlife that includes buffaloes, kobs, elephants, waterbucks, and different bird species. In the afternoon after lunch, you will go for a boat cruise. The boat cruise at the Kazinga channel will takes you through possibly the highest concentration of hippos, crocodile, and different bird species.
You will also see many elephants and buffaloes drinking at the water’s edges. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at a bush lodge on full board basis.
In the morning after breakfast, you will go for a guided nature walk at the Mweya peninsular where you will have a clear view of the beautiful Kazinga channel and different animal and bird species. You will also have a game drive as you leave the park to proceed back to Kampala.
