Enjoy an exciting private safari in one of Africa’s best game viewing destinations, Masai Mara National Reserve. You will have amazing opportunities for wildlife photography with the stunning open landscape and unforgettable sunsets. Visiting the Masai Mara reserve is more than a wildlife experience as it offers insights into the culture of the native Masai communities in Kenya.
Accommodation on this tour is at a lounge or a camp located in natural settings near the Masai Mara Game Reserve.
After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel at 7:30 a.m. After a briefing on the safari from the representative and driver guide, you will depart from Nairobi to Masai Mara through the floor of the Great Rift Valley view point 2,700 meters where you have the first stop over to take some photos. You will also see the first Italian church where it was built.
You will then proceed to Narok town in the Masai city and drive to Mara arriving in time for lunch, check in, and later on get ready for the evening two-hour game drive in the park until 6:30 p.m. After the game drive, you will have dinner and stay overnight at the lodge or camp.
In the morning, you will depart the lodge after breakfast for a full-day game drive in the park from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You will have your picnic lunches during the time. Your full-day game drive will give you a chance to visit the big Mara river where the migration of wildebeest takes place from Serengeti National park to Masai Mara Game Reserve. This river has many big Hippos and crocodiles that you will see.
After your picnic lunch, you will then proceed with the game drive as you leave the park heading back to the lodge or camp. You will have an option to visit the Masai Village at an additional cost. After the game drive, you will have dinner and stay overnight at the lodge or camp.
There will be an early morning game drive from 6:30 a.m to 8:30 a.m. before the main breakfast. You can also choose to go for a hot air balloon safari at 420 USD, then go back to the lodge or camp for breakfast. You will leave Masai Mara for Nairobi arriving at around 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The driver guide will drop you at your hotel or at the airport. End of trip.
The Masai Mara reserve covers 1,510 square kilometers of wide-open savannas and fertile riverine woodlands in south-western Kenya and forms a continuation of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. One of Africa’s premier national parks, the Masai Mara is famous for its Large Cat population and the massive annual Wildebeest Migration. The reserve is shared with the semi nomadic Masai people, whose culture and way of life has remained relatively intact for hundreds of years.
During the safari tour, you will be served with daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Bottled drinking water will also be provided during the safari.
To explore the area, you can choose to visit the Masai Village at an additional cost. You can also choose to go for a hot air balloon safari at 420 USD per person.
