In this safari, you will be provided 11 nights of accommodation. On the first and second nights of the safari, you will stay at Hotel Blue Horizon in Kathmandu, and on the third night up to the fifth night, you will stay in Koshi Tappu.

On the sixth and seventh nights, you will stay in Chitwan, while the eighth night up to the tenth night will be spent in Bardiya. The eleventh night will be spent in Hotel Blue Horizon in Kathmandu.


Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

You will arrive in Kathmandu and get transferred to your hotel. In the evening, you will have a welcome dinner in a cultural restaurant.

Get to appreciate Nepal as it opens in the air just before the plane lands at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) in Kathmandu. If you are lucky enough to have the bright sunshine on your arrival day, the wide range of soaring Himalayan Peaks to the north is a magnificent view.

As you complete the immigration formalities of the airport and make your way out from the arrivals terminal, you would be offered a warm Nepalese welcome, and then you will get transferred you to your hotel in Thamel in a private vehicle. At hotel, you will have a very easy check-in procedure.

Let the flight exhaustion go off in the cozy hotel room. In the evening, you will have a welcome dinner in one of the finest cultural restaurants of the city. Airports pick up and Kathmandu Hotel accommodation with breakfast is included.

Day 2: Kathmandu

After the breakfast, you will be escorted to Pashupatinath, the largest Hindu Temple of Nepal in a private vehicle. The temple is dedicated to supreme Hindu God, Shiva, and is located on the banks of the Bagmati River. At Pashupatinath, you will get to see exceptionally carved statues and idols of Hindu deities, a long row of Shiva-Lingas, and series of small temples.

The golden hood at the top of main temple is truly fascinating. Moreover, there will be an opportunity to witness the Hindu death ritual at Aryaghat Pashupatinath, which is an offbeat cultural experience. After the exploration of the Pashupatinath, you will walk along the busy streets of Kathmandu to Boudhanath.

A large dome-shaped Buddhist stupa, Boudhanath holds huge religious significance among the Tibetan Buddhists of Nepal. A major shrine on ancient Indo-China trade route Boudhanath offered blessings to traders and scholars for safe journey through the high Himalayan passes to Tibet.

Saffron robed monks circumambulating Boudhanath, colorful prayer flags touching the skyline from the dome pinnacle to the base of large monument and the and outlets selling Tibetan souvenirs make this place a true Tibet outside Tibet. Post lunch, the sightseeing tour continues to Kathmandu Durbar Square.

The exemplary wooden and stone craftsmanship at the site makes this place a prominent attraction for tourists. The stone paved streets, pagoda-style religious monuments inclusive of different Hindu deities are the cultural delights of ancient and medieval Nepal at Kathmandu Durbar Square.

This day’s final destination for the sightseeing tour in Kathmandu is the Swayambhunath. A self-emerged Buddhist stupa lies on a hilltop overlooking Kathmandu with its watchful eyes. You will get to experience more about Tibetan Buddhism at Swayambhunath. After the full day sightseeing tour, a private vehicle will escort you back to your hotel. Accommodation will be in a hotel in Kathmandu. Breakfast is included.

Day 3: Biratnagar and Koshi Tappu

After the breakfast, you will fly to Biratnagar from Kathmandu. Forty-five minutes of flight will bring you to Biratnagar, one of the major towns of Nepal. Almost a one-hour drive from the Eastern headquarter, Biratnagar would bring you to Koshi Tappu. A 175 square kilometers of forestland that comprises majority of grasslands and marshland is an ideal habitat for birds.

More than 600 species of birds have been sighted here, and hence, Koshi Tappu in one of the paradises for the bird lovers. Similarly, the last remaining wild buffaloes can be sighted in the park. Upon arrival at the park, you will check in into the resort and instantly go for the jungle activity.

On this day, you will go for the elephant safari into the jungle. In the evening, you will enjoy a cultural show, which is displayed in the resort garden with the bonfire that adds adventurous undergo into your wildlife tour in Nepal. The half day safari will be at Koshi Tappu, along with full board meals and accommodation.

Day 4: Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve

In the morning, you will go on a village walk. The village walk in Koshi Tappu will take you to the authentic and traditional habitat of ethnical tribes of the region, the Tharus. The patriarchal families of Tharus hold unique culture that solely can be realized after seeing their houses.

Small huts with mud and bamboo walls, straw thatched roofs and colorful paints on the walls manifest that Tharus have rich culture to amaze any new visitor to their community. Farming, fishing, and cattle herding are the main occupations Tharus do for their livelihood. After the village walk, you will walk back to the resort for breakfast.

After the breakfast, we set out for the jungle activity with packed lunch. The jungle activity for the day includes canoe trip and jeep drive. Floating with the river torrent in a dugout canoe is an ideal way to see birds species which reside in the river shores. The canoe trip also is an opportunity to observe the aquatic life of the park.

Mugger crocodile and the Gangetic dolphins live in the rivers of Koshi Tappu. The day's wildlife activity ends with a fascinating jeep drive deeper into the woods. A two to four hours of jeep drive is an adventurous way to sight species like water buffaloes. Deers, rhinos, sloths, and different species of birds among others can be sighted. Full board meals and accommodation is included.

Day 5: Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve

On this day, you will once again enjoy the full day wildlife activity at Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve. This day’s activities include elephant safari and birdwatching tour. In the late morning, you will go for the elephant safari. During the safari where you will spot Asiatic elephants, you will once again try to sight as many wild species as possible.

You will be taken to the right regions of the jungle, where abundant wildlife activity can be observed. After the wildlife safari, you will ride back to the resort, enjoy lunch, and then go for the bird-watching tour. The bird-watching on this day includes a short drive to Koshi Barradge, where several species of migratory and residential birds can be spotted.

You will also go for the short walk inside the jungle and short canoe ride so that you can observe new species of birds found inside Koshi Tappu. Full board meals and accommodation is included.

Day 6: Koshi Tappu to Chitwan National Park

Early in the morning, you will go for nature walk in the woods of Koshi Tappu. Koshi Tappu is a paradise for different species of migratory and residential birds. After the nature walk, you will enjoy breakfast and begin the drive to Chitwan National Park. On the way to Chitwan, you will stop for a while to observe more birding activities at Koshi Barradge.

After six hours of drive, you will arrive to Chitwan National Park. You will have light activities in the park, and then you will have a briefing session, a short safari, and a wildlife slide show at the resort. Full board meals and accommodation is included.

Day 7: Chitwan National Park

You will have a full day safari activity in Chitwan National Park, along with several other activities. Early in the morning, you will wake up after the wake-up call, and then you will go on a nature walk with a local wildlife expert. Nature walk allows you to sight the birding activities at full swing in the banks of Rapti River.

The park also houses several hundred species of residential and migratory birds. After the nature walk, you will return to the resort and enjoy the breakfast. Post breakfast, you will go canoeing in Rapti River. Canoeing at Rapti is a wonderful way to observe bird species and aquatic life, which include the possible sighting of Gangetic dolphins.

The final jungle activity includes jungle safari to the jungle, elephant bathing session, and visit to elephant breeding center at park’s neighborhood. The whole day’s activities are full of fun, thrill, and great wildlife experiences. Full board meals and accommodation is included.

Day 8: Chitwan National Park to Bardiya National Park

Early in the morning, you will go for the last jungle safari so that you can get the best of Chitwan National Park. Then, after the breakfast, you will begin your journey towards Bardiya in a private vehicle. Once, you reach Bardiya, you will be transferred to the resort. In the resort, you will be briefed on the program details and its facilities.

After being given your program for the day, you will have a cup of tea or coffee for refreshment, and in the evening, you will enjoy our time with dinner at the resort. You will stay overnight at Bardiya National Park. Full board meals and accommodation is included.

Day 9: Bardiya National Park

Early in the morning, you will wake up with the wake-up call, drink a cup of hot tea or coffee served with choice of your breakfast and then set off for an elephant safari.

The safari, which goes deep into the woods of Bardiya National Park, is an excellent opportunity to see Asian elephant, great one horn rhinoceros, spotted deer or chital, hog deer, barking deer, samber, swamp deer (barasingha), nilgai (bull), black buck, wild boar, leopard, wild dog, golden jackal, striped hyena, and even 50-50 chances to see the royal Bengal tiger.

The safari ends at the resort. Before lunch, you can leisurely relax playing a game or billiards with your friends or just spend a few quiet moments in the library with a book. After your refreshment and little rest, you will be served with hot lunch. After lunch at resort, you will go for a jungle walk, which is an excellent opportunity to see the wild animals, small mammals, and birds.

Wildlife sightseeing from the tower (Machan), accompanied by experienced naturalists and wild life tracker, is a wonderful experience at Bardiya National Park. Excellent photographic opportunities are plentiful. In the evening, you can enjoy Tharu cultural dance, which is presented by the local villagers in which you can also participate.

After the cultural program, it is time for dinner. You will stay overnight in a resort at Bardiya National Park. Full board meals and accommodation is included.

Day 10: Bardiya National Park

On this day as well, you will wake up early, enjoy breakfast, and begin the wildlife activity. You will drive to the rafting point. White water rafting at Bardiya is a scenic floating trip, which goes through exciting rapids, deep gorges forested hillsides, and remote villages. This would be, an excellent opportunity for bird watching.

Rafting will last by three to four hours, and during the period packed lunch will provided. After rafting, in the afternoon, it is time for a jeep drive which will provide you an excellent opportunity to see many wild animals as the drive goes deeper into the woods.

After the jungle drive, you will head back to the resort and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. In the evening, you will enjoy dinner and stay overnight at the resort in Bardiya. Full board meals and accommodation is included.

Day 11: Kathmandu

Enjoy the morning with a cup of hot tea or coffee and breakfast. Explore around the resort until the departure time. You will drive to Nepalgunj by car from where you board a plane to Kathmandu. Upon arriving in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. The afternoon is a free time for you to revisit the place you prefer, travel on your own to a new place, wonder around Thamel hunting souvenirs, or simply stay your hotel.

In the evening, you will enjoy a farewell dinner in a cultural restaurant together. Accommodation will be in a hotel in Kathmandu, and breakfast will be included.

Day 12: Departure

As per your flight schedule, you will drive with Access Nepal Tours representative to the airport in a private vehicle. Breakfast is included in this day.

This safari will be held in Nepal. You will be visiting Kathmandu, Biratnagar, Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, Chitwan National Park, and Bardiya National Park. The 600-kilometer journey on Nepal’s longest highway is full of life. You will fly to Biratnagar Airport (BIR) and drive to Koshi Tappu, and this marks the beginning of your wildlife tour in Nepal.

Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve is a protected park in Eastern Nepal and is a birder’s paradise. About 485 species of birds, including residential and migratory birds, have been recorded at Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve. Rarest Bengal florican has been frequently sighted at the wetlands of Koshi Tappu.

Three hundred and thirty kilometers west lies Chitwan National Park. The heavenly abode for more than 45 species of mammals, which includes one horned rhino, royal Bengal tiger, over 450 species of colorful birds, and more than 45 species of amphibians and scary reptiles including ghariyal.

The park offers probably the best elephant safari experience in the continent. Almost 250 kilometer west lies Bardiya National Park. The largest and the most isolated national park in Nepal’s lowland covers a total area of 968 square kilometers. The park has the balance mixture of grasslands, marshlands, and riverine forests.

It is the protected home to more than 840 floral species and 642 faunal species. Wildlife activities at each park vary with another, and hence, experience at every park is very new.
