For this safari tour, you will be provided with nine nights accommodation. You will stay for three nights at Hotel Blue Horizon, two nights at a hotel in Pokhara, one night at a hotel in Lumbini, and three nights at a hotel in Bardia National Park.


Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

You will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) in Kathmandu. If you are lucky and there is a bright sunshine on your arrival day, you can witness the wide range of soaring Himalayan Peaks to the north, it is such a magnificent view. As you complete the immigration formalities of the airport and make your way out from the arrivals terminal, Access Nepal Tours would offer you a warm Nepalese welcome and transfer you to your hotel in Thamel in a private vehicle.

At the hotel, you will have a very easy check-in procedure. Let the flight exhaustion go off in the cozy hotel room. In the evening, Access Nepal Tours will offer you a welcome dinner in one of the finest cultural restaurants in the city.

Day 2: Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu

After the breakfast, you will be escorted to Pashupatinath, the largest Hindu temple of Nepal in a private vehicle. The temple dedicated to supreme Hindu God, Shiva banks Bagmati River. At Pashupatinath, you will get to see exceptionally carved statues and idols of Hindu deities, a long row of Shiva-Lingas, series of small temples, and the golden hood at the top of the main temple is truly fascinating.

Moreover, an opportunity to witness the Hindu death ritual at Aryaghat Pashupatinath is an offbeat cultural experience. After the exploration of Pashupatinath, you will walk along the busy streets of Kathmandu to Boudhanath. A large domed shaped Buddhist stupa, Boudhanath holds huge religious significance among the Tibetan Buddhists of Nepal.

A major shrine on ancient Indo-China trade route Boudhanath offered blessings to traders and scholars for a safe journey through the high Himalayan passes to Tibet. Saffron-robed monks circumambulating Boudhanath, colorful prayer flags touching the skyline from the dome pinnacle to the base of the large monument and the outlets selling Tibetan souvenirs makes this place a true Tibet outside Tibet.

On post lunch, the sightseeing tour continues to Kathmandu Durbar Square. The exemplary wooden and stone craftsmanship at the site makes a place the prominent attraction for tourists. The stone paved streets, pagoda style religious monuments inclusive of different Hindu deities are the cultural delights of ancient and medieval Nepal at Kathmandu Durbar Square.

For this day, your final destination for a sightseeing tour in Kathmandu takes you to Swayambhunath. A self-emerged Buddhist stupa lies on a hilltop overlooking Kathmandu with its watchful eyes. You will get to experience more about Tibetan Buddhism at Swayambhunath. After the full day sightseeing tour, a private vehicle will escort you to your hotel.

Day 3: Drive to Pokhara, sightseeing tour, and evening boating at Phewa Lake

After the breakfast, you will begin your journey towards Pokhara on a tourist bus. The ride to Pokhara is on a snakelike highway, which winds on the cliff above Himalayan Rivers like Trishuli, Marsyangdi, and Seti. Six to seven hours of road journey will bring you to Pokhara.

Pokhara is an enchanting town known for its unique geographical formation. Lakes, caves, gorges, hilltops and the views of mesmerizing Annapurna Himalayan Range and matchless Fishtail are exceptional highlights of Pokhara. On your arrival at Pokhara you will be transferred to your hotel in the city. Then you will set out to explore the lakeside in the city. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 4: Pokhara

You will have a splendid day in Pokhara. Early morning, you will wake up early (pre-dawn) and drive to Sarangkot. Sarangkot is a hilltop overlooking Pokhara, which caters to magnificent sunrise view. The view of Himalayan Ranges that include Annapurnas, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and Mount Fishtail look mesmerizingly beautiful from Sarangkot. Sarangkot is 20 to 25minutes drive from your hotel in Pokhara.

After the sunrise view from Sarangkot, you will drive back to the hotel. In the afternoon, you will continue to explore Pokhara. The mystical Davis Fall, underneath Mahendra and bat caves, deep-seated Seti River Gorge and of course the fantastically indelible boating at crystal clear Fewa Lake are the most highlighted must watch destinations of Pokhara.

You will visit the Mountaineering Museum in Pokhara, which holds the history and culture of several ethnical tribes of the region. You will also visit the Tibetan Refugee Camp in Hemja, where you can witness the thriving Tibetan Culture. In the evening, you will have a boating session over Phewa Lake before you walk back to your hotel.

Day 5: Drive to Lumbini via Tansen

On this day, you will drive along the most twisted highway in Nepal, Siddhartha Highway. 180 kilometers of a journey on the highway takes a lunch break at beautifully nestled hill town Tansen. A historically important town, Tansen has a historical palace on a Srinagar Hill that overlooks the town 24/7. Explore around and continue the drive towards Lumbini.

On arriving at Butwal, the entire scenario in the vicinity changes. You will not be able to see the high hills. Welcome to lowland Terai. An hour-long drive from Butwal would bring you to Lumbini. Once you arrive, you will drive to your hotel.

Day 6: Sightseeing tour of Lumbini and drive to Bardia National Park

Amidst the beautiful Lumbini Garden, famous Mayadevi Temple (Temple dedicated to mother of Buddha), Puskarani Pond (the pond where Buddha took his first ritual dip), famous Ashoka Pillars (pillars erected by great Emperor Ashoka in 269 B.C.), remains of Buddhist viharas and stupas from third century B.C. to 15th century A.D., and modern Monastic zone (several monasteries built by the government of different countries) are worthwhile sites to explore in Lumbini.

After day’s exploration, you will drive back to your hotel, enjoy your lunch, and resume your drive towards Bardia. Six hours of road journey on the stretch of Mahendra Highway would bring you to Bardia National park. On your arrival, you will be transferred to the resort in the park and enjoy your dinner and go to bed.

Day 7: Full day wildlife activity at Bardia National Park

Early morning, you will wake up with the wakeup call, drink a cup of hot tea or coffee served with choice of your breakfast and set off for the elephant safari. The safari, which goes deep into the woods of Bardia National Park is an excellent opportunity to see Asian elephant, great one-horn rhinoceros, spotted deer or chital, hog deer, barking deer, sambar, swamp deer (Barasingha), nilgai (bull), black buck, wild boar, leopard, wild dog, golden jackal, striped hyena, and even royal Bengal tiger.

The safari ends at the resort. Before lunch, you can leisurely relax playing a game or billiards with your friends or just spend a few quiet moments in the library with a book. After your refreshment and little rest, you will be served with hot lunch.

After lunch at the resort, you will go for jungle walk which is an excellent opportunity to see the wild animals, small mammals, and birds and to have the wild sightseeing from the Tower (Machan), accompanied by the experienced naturalists and wildlife tracker. Excellent photographic opportunities are plentiful.

In the evening, you can enjoy with Tharu cultural dance, which is presented by the local villagers in which you can also participate. After the cultural program, it is time for dinner. You will stay overnight at a resort in Bardia National Park.

Day 8: Full day safari at Bardia National Park

On this day, you will wake up early, enjoy the breakfast and begin the wildlife activity. You will drive to the rafting point. Whitewater rafting at Bardia is a scenic floating trip, which goes through exciting rapids, deep gorges forested hillsides and remote villages. This would be, an excellent opportunity for bird watching. Rafting will last by three to four hours and during the period pack lunch will be provided.

After rafting, in the afternoon, it is time for jeep drive, which will provide you an excellent opportunity to see many wild animals, as the drive goes deeper into the woods. After the jungle drive, you will head back to resort and can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. On the evening, you will enjoy your dinner and stay overnight at a resort at Bardia.

Day 9: Drive to Nepalgunj and fly to Kathmandu

Enjoy the morning with a cup of hot tea or coffee then breakfast. You will explore the resort until the departure time. You will drive to Nepalgunj by car and board a plane to Kathmandu. On arriving in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel.

The afternoon is a free time for you to revisit the place you prefer, travel on your own to a new place, wander around Thamel hunting souvenirs or simply stay in your hotel. In the evening, you will enjoy a farewell dinner in a cultural restaurant together.

Day 10: Depart Kathmandu

As per your flight schedule, you will drive with the representative to the airport in a private vehicle. Have a safe flight and visit Nepal time and again.

This safari tour will take place at Bardia National Park in Nepal. It is the largest and the most isolated national park in Nepal’s lowland and covers a total area of 968 square kilometers. Established in 1988, the park banks Karnali River to the East whereas; Babai River runs penetrating these dense woodlands.

The park has the balance mixture of grasslands, marshlands, and riverine forests. It is the protected home to more than 840 floral species and 642 faunal species. The endangered mammal species including rhino, Bengal tiger, and Gangetic dolphin as well as rarely frequented bird’s species like Bengal florican, white-rumped vulture, and bar-headed geese can be sighted during wildlife activity at the park.


You will also be provided with daily meals. During your stay at Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Lumbini, you will be served with daily breakfasts. On your stay at Bardia, breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided to you.
