Join Absolute Holiday Safaris for an exciting safari in Kenya! This is a safari that takes you to the famous Maasai Mara widely known for its great migration from July to November, Lake Nakuru where there is a sanctuary for the white rhinoceros, Lake Naivasha in Hell's Gate National Park for a nature walk with animals and seeing rock layers at the gorge. You will finish with the view of Mount Kilimanjaro which is the highest peak in Africa.
During the safari, you will be accommodated in Mara Sopa Lodge, Buraha Zenoni, Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge, and Amboseli Sopa Lodge.
Located high on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills, the Maasai Mara Sopa Lodge was one of the first safari lodges to be built in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, a reason why its gardens and trees are so lush and mature.
The lodge has 50 guest cottages divided into two wings on either side of the main public areas. Each of these houses has two spacious guest rooms with queen and king-size beds, mosquito nets, electronic safes, dressing tables, en-suite bathrooms, and sheltered verandas that all have views over the gardens and the game reserve beyond.
Nestled in the scenic hills on the edge of the Masai Mara National Reserve, Mara Sopa Lodge offers a tranquil retreat with a perfect blend of comfort and African charm. This midrange lodge is renowned for its warm hospitality, stunning views, and proximity to wildlife-rich areas. Guests will stay in spacious, en-suite rooms designed with traditional African décor and modern amenities, including cozy beds, private verandas, and large windows offering panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness.
The lodge features a swimming pool, a well-stocked bar, and a dining area serving delicious meals prepared with fresh, local ingredients. In the evenings, enjoy the lodge's cozy ambiance, complete with a fireplace and cultural performances, making it the perfect place to unwind after an adventurous day in the Mara.
Situated near the main gates of the reserve, the lodge offers easy access to game drive routes while providing a serene base to relax and recharge. At Mara Sopa Lodge, you will enjoy a memorable stay that combines adventure, comfort, and the beauty of the African savannah.
Situated in Nakuru, 19 kilometers from Lake Elementaita, Buraha Zenoni Hotel and Resort features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge, and a terrace. The property has a bar, as well as a restaurant serving African cuisine. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, a kids' club, and free Wi-Fi throughout the property. Buraha Zenoni is the standout establishment towering over any other structure in the vicinity.
Being a 15-minute drive from The Nakuru CBD, the hotel strikes the perfect balance between convenience and serenity, away from the rushed life of the town. It has a variety of rooms that will suit your budget ranging from standard, superior, twin, deluxe, en-suite, and family suite. At the hotel, rooms include a desk, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, bed linen, and towels. The rooms have a wardrobe.
Being seven floors high, the lounge affords you a beautiful panoramic view of the vast Nakuru landscape as you indulge in your favorite food and beverage. Nakuru offers many attractions such as the Lake Nakuru National Park, Lake Naivasha, Hell's Gate National Park, and Menengai Crater, a must-visit place for any visitor to the area.
Set in one hundred and fifty acres of grassland studded with Acacia bushes and trees, the resort is not only home to the resident giraffes, waterbucks, and both Vervet and Colobus monkeys. It is also a night stop for the hippos when they leave the lake every night to come and trim the grass on the expansive lawns. With Sopa’s traditional and conscientious care for the environment, all the buildings have been carefully positioned on the property no trees were cut.
As a result of this, the lodge had to come up with a radically innovative and artistic design for the main public area building which now snakes its way between the trees with long and graceful curves. For this reason, the two swimming pools with a children’s section and a pool complex with its bar, snack kitchen, pizzeria, health spa, tennis court, two conference halls with their four differently sized meeting areas, and stables are so widely set apart.
Other facilities in the lodge include sundowners, a gift shop, board games, outdoor dining, free Wi-Fi, sauna, and wheelchair accessible rooms. Rooms include bedroom kettles, hairdryers, telephones, and a television. The lodge also has adjoining rooms, babysitting services, laundry, and turndown service. Other activities you may want to indulge in at the lodge are fishing, horse riding, birdwatching, and nature walks.
Set on 200 acres of private land and with a rustic charm all of its own, the lodge nestles in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro which, at almost six thousand meters, is Africa’s highest and most famous snow-capped mountain.
Amboseli Sopa Lodge is set within mature wooded gardens with a wide variety of trees and plants which include thorn trees, Acacias, fragrant Frangipanis, colorful bougainvillea, and giant cacti which all thrive in these surroundings. The gardens are also home to numerous species of birds, as well as monkeys, mongooses, squirrels, duikers, the occasional gazelle and, once in a while, even an ever inquisitive leopard.
Rustic, well spaced cottages meander through the vast expanse of the mature gardens and house the eighty three guest rooms. These are all brightly decorated with Maasai themed wall murals, and each room has been purposely built to contain either one or two queen sized beds, as well as a veranda.
At 08:30, you will be picked up from an airport / hotel and transferred to the office to depart for the Maasai Mara National Reserve, via the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley and Narok town for lunch. On arrival, proceed for a game drive, tracking various animal species and birds with your driver / guide. Have dinner and overnight at the Sopa Lodge or similar.
After breakfast, proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game viewing in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close-range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodiles. Have dinner and overnight at the Sopa Lodge or similar.
Have an early morning pre-breakfast game drive. After breakfast, depart the Mara region for Nakuru, lunch en route, with scenic views of Mount Longmont and Lake Naivasha from afar on the main highway. Have dinner and overnight at Buraha Zenoni or similar.
After breakfast, proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its prolific birdlife including flamingoes. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino while species like Cape buffalo and waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline. Drive to Naivasha. Have dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge.
After breakfast, have a nature walk in the Hell’s Gate National Park, then have lunch and drive to Amboseli National Park. Have dinner and overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge.
Enjoy a day of game drives in this park which contains swamp grounds in which elephants and hippos bathe in abundance. A variety of plains game, antelopes, and birds can also be seen and Mount Kilimanjaro’s peak too if weather conditions permit. Absolute Holiday Safaris will cater to picnic lunches. Return to overnight at the Amboseli Sopa Lodge or similar.
